The physician

Thirty years of refusing there's nothing more we can do.

Rafael F. Cruz, MD earned his medical degree at Wright State University in 1993 and completed an Emergency Medicine residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. In 2002 he added an Anesthesia and Pain Procedures fellowship at the University of Louisville.

That procedural foundation is the reason patients drive from Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and beyond. Dr. Cruz was trained directly by Dr. Edward Tobinick, MD, the physician who pioneered Perispinal Etanercept, and was one of the earliest physicians in the United States to administer cellular biologics, beginning in 2010.

He is a founding member of the American Academy of Ozone Therapy, a certified Independent Medical Examiner, and a Healthgrades Choice Provider in Neurology.

In their own words

Patients who were told nothing more could be done.

Real reviews, verbatim, from Yelp, Healthgrades, and WebMD, where Dr. Cruz averages 5.0 across 56 reviews.

Four years ago I had the luxury of getting treated by Dr. Cruz for severe arthritis in my knee. MRI showed a 12mm spot of cartilage missing. After one stem cell injection and five PRPs, my post-MRI showed only mild softening, with no cartilage missing. I used to take 25 Aleves a year. I haven't taken one in four years.

Getting diagnosis and treatments that healed my a-fib and palpitations, when other doctors were wanting me to go under the knife, is a blessing. To know that Dr. Cruz knew of successful alternatives gave me a journey of hope.

After a hospital stay and facing nine weeks of radiation for prostate cancer, I resolved to employ non-allopathic approaches. Dr. Cruz was only a half hour away. I've now gotten a clean bill of health from both the oncologist and urologist. I've never seen nicer clinical facilities either.

Dr. Cruz is a great physician, willing to spend time with you and explain your pathology in great detail. His care is impeccable and unmatched. At 64 I can still play tennis, thanks to his care.

Great experience with Dr. Cruz and Richell and the team. Dr. Cruz has helped me deal with a number of complex issues related to heavy metals toxicity, anxiety, and hormonal deficiencies. I appreciate his approach as a functional and integrative physician looking for the root cause, rather than simply the medical establishment's typical name-it, blame-it, tame-it approach.

Dr. Cruz asked several follow-up questions. He then patiently answered several questions in different ways so I could grasp the concepts and methods. Unlike the 20 allotted minutes with most doctors.
